Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have announced a remix of Rodrigo’s “Expectations” for October 15, 2026. The collaboration was previewed through social media and reported by Cosmopolitan on October 14. The announcement places two prominent pop performers on a shared recording for a new chapter in Rodrigo’s campaign.
What has been confirmed?
The reported collaboration is a remix, not an entirely separate newly titled song. Pre-release teasers featuring Roan’s voice drew attention to the planned release. Because streaming catalogs can vary by territory and update time, readers should use the artists’ verified profiles to confirm the playable version.
How the artists are connected
The pairing builds on an existing professional relationship. Roan previously opened for Rodrigo, and both have worked with producer Dan Nigro. Their collaboration therefore follows an established creative network rather than an unexplained pairing devised for release-week publicity.
What comes next for the release
Editorial playlist placements, official chart entries and date-stamped platform figures may clarify its reception after release. Online anticipation is not the same as verified chart performance, and no stream or view counts are asserted here.
